The Good Doctors are back to discuss Episode 2 ‘Hyde Park Corner.’ They unpack the constitutional monarchy, the drama of David’s abdication and Albert’s leadership instincts. The big part of the episode is the death of the King – so they discuss the difficulty of being a woman in power, how Elizabeth maintains a piece of her identity, and the lasting impact of Queen Mary’s letter to Elizabeth especially in terms of toxic perspectives of leadership.

Did you know that there are only three countries in the world that weren’t colonized by a European entity at some point in their history? We didn’t either, but it got us thinking about how important the legacy of colonization must be on all the others and we launched our Colonizer’s World Tour in 2021 to investigate further. Each week, we look at a different country, the legacy of colonization within it, and what that place can teach the rest of us about empathy and inclusivity.
