Much needed topic – I loved that it was interactive.

Kristen Donnelly is an exceptionally dynamic and thoughtful speaker. She commands the space while also maintaining an intimate connection with her audience. Her years of study and humble curiosity create the perfect container to talk about hard things. Her TEDx talk on tolerance is one of my favorite talks of all time. I highly recommend Dr. Donnelly as a speaker, educator and facilitator.

 We have had speakers at these meetings before, but this presentation was the most interesting one we’ve had yet.

What is special about The Good Doctors’ training is that they do more than just talk, they involve us in the process.

“

As a copywriter I’m conscious of staying on top of the shifts in language and learning/growing so I don’t perpetuate harmful stereotypes or culturally inappropriate phrases. I really liked how they gave concrete examples (and thorough explanations about why we don’t say those words anymore). So much of what we say is habit, ingrained in us from the way we were socialized growing up — and when we’re conscious of how these words impact others then we can choose to be mindful of what we say going forward. The Good Doctors are so genuine and create a safe space to explore our past behaviors without judgment. I enjoyed the back and forth banter and how they played off each other’s examples.

Kristen’s insight and ability to have the hard conversations is such a gift and she does it with such clarity and grace. She is an incredible thought leader and team player. I highly recommend her to my clients so they can consume her content to help build their empathy.

This training has helped everyone understand we each need to be more empathetic and mindful of the needs of different generations. Kristen and Erin demonstrated a unique understanding of the problem we are facing and were able to connect it to specific issues facing our industry. Since the training we have received requests from various coaching staffs to have The Good Doctors return and dig deeper into these issues with their student-athletes.

Kristen was great at it … it made you think, it made you more aware it’s not one-way, it made me think that by continuing the conversation it will get the person, staff, board member to have to engage more with me and be able to speak about lots of scenarios they were not prepared to talk about – and throughout the conversation they may go silent.

“

Kristen’s experiences and knowledge confirms her as an expert in her field.

I loved their energy! Their passion made the content even easier to absorb!  Their thorough research really helped me understand a great deal more about relationships and being a better communicator. It was great that their style includes the mix of crowd participation with very informative slides, along with time for breakout sessions. I wanted to do another session with them immediately because of the wealth of wisdom they have combined with their relatable experience!

I have come to know Doctor Kristen as a game-changer who is doing for empathy what Brene Brown has been doing for vulnerability. If you’re in looking for an impactful speaker who will shift perspective, bring new ideas, and do it all with heart, she is the right choice.

After attending this training, I feel more confident in my ability to embrace a conversation around this topic. What I learned from The Good Doctors was to embrace the conversation from a place of kindness and non-judgement, with the recognition that we will get it wrong, but either being called out or calling someone else out is a first step to understanding and growth.

I loved this training! I thought it was fun, informational, exciting, and entertaining all at the same time! I would have loved to have you as professors because I have no doubt that I would have stayed engaged during class.

Kristen and Erin have a wealth of wisdom to teach broadly and pointedly about honoring humanity by gaining understanding of others and their backgrounds. We were able to have open and honest dialogue about best practices for coaching our players and leading them as women. As a program, we feel collectively more equipped to progress forward to reach our goals of climbing the ladder daily!

After this training, I am more aware now of the communication differences amongst generations and am more intentional in using different strategies. What stood out to me about Dr. Kristen and Dr. Erin was how they were able to be personal and entertaining while also showcasing their level of knowledge on the topic.

Infusing humor into a serious subject. Such a wonderful, ENERGETIC, interactive presentation. I really appreciated the presenter knowing when to stop. My brain needed to absorb, focus, and process all the information.

The talk was very informative and interactive. It allows you to be introspective and consider things we don’t usually think about regarding how we do inclusion.

With so many generations working together in the office as well as serving Gen Z as our primary audience, our team leaders wanted to create a space where our employees could openly discuss their preconceived ideas and perspectives while also learning how to show empathy to others. What stood out to me from the training was that it takes great intentionality to show empathy for someone we don’t fully understand. What I enjoyed about The Good Doctors training was the openness and practicality of their approach.

No matter what the setting or who the audience is, Kristen has an amazing ability to engage with people.

As a head baseball coach, the training provided a better understanding of how we as a staff may need to communicate with our student-athletes along with the concerns they may deal with on a daily basis. This training has made a difference in how I approach my work because I am more aware now of the communication differences amongst generations and am more intentional in using different strategies. What stood out to me from the training was The Good Doctors’ energy, passion, and knowledge of their subject.

The reason I decided to partner with Abbey Research and specifically with Dr. Kristen and Dr. Erin on the topics of inclusivity and being a better human is because, well, they’ve done the research, right? They have the education. So that’s super important to me, but they bring a different element to every room that they walked into. They present these topics from a different perspective.

Multi-model approach to learning! Interesting, fun and interactive. Challenges traditional beliefs and encourages critical thinking.

The presenter was fabulous! She was engaging and kind, so accepting and validated that no one is perfect, we all have flaws and to give ourselves more grace.

The Good Doctors are NEEDED in a world that needs courage and education of how to navigate conversations with love, grace, and curiosity. The information provided in our meeting was educational to create a safe space for our team. I felt growth of understanding just within our staff with the short time we had with them.

“

Great presentation and very fun. They are super animated and grab your attention and keep it the entire session.

“

What I liked most about this training was the honesty and openness, that helped us have a real day-to-day conflict discussion.
